Wer kann am Open Water Diver Kurs teilnehmen?
Der Kurs ist für alle geeignet, die mindestens 10 Jahre alt sind und grundlegende Schwimmkenntnisse haben. Es sind keine Taucherfahrungen erforderlich.
Benötige ich ein ärztliches Attest für die Teilnahme?
Vor Kursbeginn muss ein medizinischer Fragebogen ausgefüllt werden. Falls du eine oder mehrere Fragen mit „Ja“ beantwortest, ist ein ärztliches Attest erforderlich, das von einem anerkannten Arzt ausgestellt wurde und die Tauglichkeit für das Sporttauchen bestätigt. Wir empfehlen grundsätzlich ein ärztliches Attest, auch wenn alle Fragen mit „Nein“ beantwortet werden. Sicherheit und Gesundheit haben immer höchste Priorität.
Wie lange dauert der Open Water Diver Kurs?
Der Kurs ist in der Regel in 3 Tagen abgeschlossen und beinhaltet Theorie, Pool-Training und 4 Freiwassertauchgänge. Es gibt jedoch keine feste Zeitbegrenzung! Wir passen den Kurs an deine individuellen Bedürfnisse und dein Lerntempo an. Unsere oberste Priorität ist, dass du dich sicher fühlst und Spaß am Tauchen hast – egal, ob du schneller oder langsamer lernst. Wir richten uns nach dir!
Ist der Open Water Diver Kurs schwierig?
Tauchen zu lernen ist eine spannende Herausforderung! Die meisten Teilnehmer haben sehr schnell Spaß am Tauchen und genießen die ersten Erfolge schon nach kurzer Zeit. Für einige kann die neue Umgebung herausfordernd sein, besonders wenn sie mit großen Respekt vor der neuen Aktivität starten.
Hier kommen unsere erfahrenen Tauchlehrer ins Spiel: Mit detaillierten Erklärungen und gezielten Übungen helfen wir dir, dich an die neue Umgebung zu gewöhnen, Vertrauen aufzubauen und dich sicher zu fühlen.
Unser Ziel ist immer, dass jeder – unabhängig vom Startgefühl – Freude am Tauchen findet und sich in seinem eigenen Tempo wohlfühlt!
Muss ich die Theorie vorab lernen?
Es wird empfohlen, die Theorie bereits im Vorfeld zu bearbeiten, um optimal vorbereitet in den Kurs zu starten. Nach der Registrierung für den Open Water Diver Kurs stehen dir über die SSI App digitale Lernmaterialien zur Verfügung.
Der Kurs umfasst 6 Kapitel, und nach jedem Kapitel gibt es eine Question Review, die spätestens vor der Zertifizierung abgeschlossen sein muss. Je besser du dich bereits mit der Theorie beschäftigst, desto mehr Zeit bleibt vor Ort für die Praxis und das eigentliche Taucherlebnis!
Gibt es eine Prüfung?
Für die Zertifizierung ist eine Multiple-Choice-Prüfung erforderlich. Die Grundlage für das Bestehen liegt im sorgfältigen Durcharbeiten der digitalen SSI Lernmaterialien. Jedes Kapitel enthält eine Question Review, in der das Gelernte überprüft wird. Diese Fragen müssen vollständig beantwortet werden, da sie Voraussetzung für die Zertifizierung sind.
Während des Kurses gehen wir in aktiven Learning Sessions nochmals gezielt auf wichtige Theorieinhalte ein und besprechen offene Fragen. Unsere Tauchlehrer stehen jederzeit zur Verfügung, um Unklarheiten zu klären und sicherzustellen, dass ihr optimal vorbereitet seid.
Wer sich intensiv mit den Inhalten auseinandersetzt, die Question Reviews gewissenhaft abschließt und unsere praktischen Erklärungen nutzt, wird auch das finale Examen problemlos bestehen. Die Abschlussprüfung kann bequem online über die SSI App abgelegt werden, sodass ihr den theoretischen Teil selbstständig abschließen könnt, bevor es in die praktischen Tauchgänge geht.
Was passiert, wenn ich den Kurs abbreche?
Der Open Water Diver Kurs ist modular aufgebaut, sodass bereits absolvierte Abschnitte anerkannt werden können. Das SSI-System bietet verschiedene Zertifizierungsoptionen für abgeschlossene Module, sodass du jederzeit an einer anderen SSI-Tauchschule weltweit weitermachen und deine Ausbildung abschließen kannst.
Die Module im SSI-System sind:
- Basic Diver: Einführung in die Theorie, erste Poolübungen und der erste Tauchgang im offenen Wasser.
- Scuba Diver: Die Hälfte des Open Water Diver Kurses mit abgeschlossener Theorie, Pooltraining und zwei Freiwassertauchgängen.
- Referral Diver: Komplette Theorie und alle Poolübungen abgeschlossen, es fehlen nur noch die Freiwassertauchgänge.
Solltest du den Kurs nicht direkt abschließen können, kannst du die fehlenden Module später nachholen und deinen Open Water Diver an jeder SSI-Tauchschule weltweit upgraden.
Bei uns werden nur die Module berechnet, die tatsächlich abgeschlossen wurden. Du zahlst also nur für das, was du absolviert hast, und kannst den Rest jederzeit an einem anderen Ort fortsetzen.
